Before getting back to Bolzano I lived and worked in beautiful Berlin for almost a year. First I was the Lead Product Designer in an agency called Arillo. Together we designed and developed Tronko and Schnauze. While I was in Germany I also designed and co-developed the new website for the Free University of Bolzano. Second I joined Giggle as their only Designer. At this young startup I led engineers to develop an iOS and Android app. It helps Erasmus students get into the flow during their semester abroad.
In March 2015 I graduated cum laude from the Faculty of Design and Art at the same university where I now teach. My BA thesis was an iOS app. It is called Newsboy and helps journalists create, edit and share short news trailers.
I worked during my whole student carrier first as Graphic Designer and at a later point as Web Designer. I designed brands, communication strategies, exhibits, websites and books. My clients were quite diverse, from magazines to photographers. From cultural institutions to private companies.
During my studies I was involved in several faculty initiatives. In 2013 with Prof. Kris Krois and my dear colleague Philip Santa I designed By Design or by Disaster. It was a hands-on conference on design for society and sustainability. The branding was featured on Making a Splash: Graphics that Flow edited by Victionary.
In 2012 with Prof. Giorgio Camuffo I designed the first edition of Unibz Design Festival. We had wonderful guests like Rob Giampietro, Daniel Eatock and Formafantasma. Before that we organised a series of open lectures titled Facce Toste*. We connected students with young and exuberant designers.
